Here's to a Fabulous New Year!

I'm sitting here looking at my totally cheezy, yet utterly adorable chocolate Labrador calendar, and cannot believe that another year has passed. In just a few short days 2009 will be here in full swing. The new year brings so much change to all of us. I don't know about you, but I'm excited for change! But of course, I have to be a tad nostalgic and do a brief recap of what I consider to be one of the best years for PBW!

Frankly...PBW had one hell of a great year! We added some new and talented coordinators to our team, relocated to a much larger office location, achieved record breaking press exposure, (oh...be sure to check out the Knot, NJ Bride, 201 Bride, and Contemporary Bride in 09 to see some of our best featured weddings to date!) and we earned the coveted title of "recommended and exclusive event planner" at some of NJ's most elite reception facilities. We are very proud of these accomplishments and have our wonderful clients (past and current) to thank for it! Without your business and support, we could have never reached these goals.

I couldn't ring in a new year without giving major thanks and kudos to everyone who helped make 2008 a spectacular year!

To our amazingly talented vendors....I say it all the time, and I'll say it again..."YOU ROCK!" Thanks for a great year!!!

I must give a huge thanks and congrats to all of PBW's 2008 brides...we had some amazing clients who tied the knot this year. All of us at PBW want to wish each and every client a lifetime of wedded bliss! It was our honor and pleasure to work with you and we're so happy to call you our friends.

As for our 2009 brides...we are elated that your year is finally here. We promise to continue delivering only the best in service to you! We want you to enjoy your remaining months of engagement and allow PBW to take some of the burden off your shoulders.

As for our 2010 clients...well, we are just so unbelieveably honored that you loved us enough to hire us so far in advance of your big day! While we would never want to rush your engagement, we are very anxious for your wedding year to arrive as well!

And last, but not least, I have to give a huge shout out to my PBW ladies...I am so blessed to have such an amazing team of talented coordinators and designers. My PBW ladies gave 150% at every event. For that, I'm beyond proud. I always encourage my team to do more, to always go above and beyond the clients' expectations...to treat each and every wedding as if it was their own. I can say with confidence that the ladies of PBW did this and more. They exceeded MY expectations as well...and I wouldn't dream of working with any other team. Ladies...you were great in 08!!! Let's really shine in 09! (hope that wasn't too cheezy!)

To our faithful blog readers, WWIIA fans, brides to be, and anyone else who may just happen to read this blog...on behalf of myself and the entire PBW team, please allow us to wish you a very happy and healthy new year!

Let's make 2009 the best year ever!!!

Happy New Year!

Bridal Guide Article - The Wedding Welcome Wagon

Several months ago I had the honor of doing an interview with one of the country's most popular wedding publications...Bridal Guide. The topic was one that is near and dear to me....How to make your out of town guests feel "at home" while they're visiting for your wedding.

Happy Holidays!!!

It's hard to believe the holidays are here again. It seems like it was just yesterday when the PBW team was trying to remain calm, cool and collected with 15 weddings in the month of June! And I could've sworn that it was just last week when we helped a handful of brides pull off their fantasy summertime beach weddings.... Clearly time is just flying by...

So before I let another day escape me, (and before the joys of impending motherhood take over my life) I wanted to make sure that I took the time to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and wonderful holiday season and new year.

May 2009 bring you much joy and happiness.

And to our 2009 brides..may this year be filled with lots of pampering and ZERO stress!!!!

With love and thanks,
Jenny and the PBW Team

Jennifer and Schiller...a super sweet couple ties the knot in style!

We are so sorry for the delay in posting this blog, but we wanted to wait for some great professional pics! So here we go!!!

One of our nicest couples, Jennifer and Schiller, were married last month at the beautiful Newark Museum. The bride simply loved the color pink...as you can see from the pics, she designed a simple, but oh so elegant reception!

Between the fabulous lighting, delish food and amazing entertainment, the couple and their guests had the time of their lives!

Melissa and the girls at PBW were honored to work with the fabulous couple!
PBW wishes Jennifer and Schiller all the best!!!

p.s. Special thanks to Michael Dempsey from Bella for the great pics!

20 Most Outrageous Whose Wedding is it Anyway Moments!

If you're a die hard WWIIA fan, then you probably saw last night's latest episode of the 20 Most Outrageous WWIIA Moments! The show was packed with viewer's (that's right...all yours) picks of their favorite WWIIA scenes. And all the planners had the opportunity to chime in and give our two cents of commentary! Watch as we comment on popular episodes such as Stella's Goth Bride, Kevin's Busted Ice Sculpture, Kimberly Bradford's crying assistant, Sam's Biggest Fan...etc! For info on when you can catch this outrageously hysterical special episode, just visit mystyle.com!

OH BABY! PBW throws a Baby Shower!!

With the upcoming arrival of Baby Orsini, we knew that a fabulous planner like Jenny deserved the most fabulous and fun baby shower ever! On November 23rd, we showered Jenny with lots of friends, family, fun and HOLY PRESENTS!

The room looked absolutely amazing...Jenny was a big fan of nursery rhymes, so that was our theme! And boy, was it evident...each table was named after a nursry rhyme...Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Little Bo Beep, and more! And what was even more fantastic... each centerpiece completely embodied the themes...we were seriously in awe of Lisa Plociniak of a A Touch of Elegance's work. Our guests could not stop commenting on the creativity of each piece. Thanks so much for doing this Lisa...it was genius!

The customized Stationery by Jen of Jar of Ideas was truly awesome! Sue and Chris of CLB Photography were on hand to not only partake in the fun, but to catch all the action on film--Thanks for the amazing shots!
The cake was so tasty...and so pretty! Thanks to Palermos Bakery--it really was so yummy!

Jenny was clearly overwhelmed by all the presents and outpouring of love by everyone. We had some of our most fabulous vendors on hand to share in the excitement of the new arrival, as well as some of our fabulous brides from the past couple of years, that have held a special place in Jenny's heart. We thank you all for taking the time to take part in such a special day for Jenny!

Of course, we had the entire PBW crew in the house to not only assist in prep, but to ensure that every gift was opened, acknowledged, and packed away in record time so all could enjoy each other's company and take part in the activities, like the onesie decorating contest!

Thanks to everyone who was there...it was such a great time for all of us and for Jenny!

We can't wait for the new arrival!
Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day..more updates soon!

Have you ever seen a 7 month pregnant woman do the Hora???

Well let me tell you, it is NOT a pretty sight! :)

Back on Nov 8th when we filmed Divina and Aaron's wedding for WWIIA, we shot a segment that was beyond hysterically funny! Here's the story...Divina wanted to impress her husband to be by learning the popular Jewish wedding dance, the Hora. And in order to do this, she needed professional lessons. Somehow she twisted my arm into going with her. It was one crazy fun night!!! But I have to tell you, I was exhausted after 20 minutes! You try dancing, kicking, shouting, etc. with 50 extra pounds of weight on you! It's NOT necessarily enjoyable! But...I have to say, the instructors at Continental Dance Club in Bloomfield were wonderful. I wanted to give them a special shout out on our blog. For all you brides to be (and grooms as well) who are thinking of learning how to dance professionally for your wedding...be it the Hora, a lovely Waltz, a fun Fox Trot, or a sexy Meringue, I highly recommend calling the staff at Continental Dance Club in Bloomfield. They are super energetic, talented and make learning how to dance FUN!
