Blythe and Adam - Better Late Than Never!

This post is a bit late...in more ways than one! PBW clients Blythe and Adam were married last month at the gorgeous Palace at Somerset Park after being together for 17 years! Melissa worked closely with the clients and helped them pull off a beautiful and uber fun wedding! It was a super elegant affair for a super fun couple. Mitch the minister performed the ceremony for the couple's 140 guests.The design: rich purples and golds, with white florals. Gold beaded overlays by Table Wraps lent to richness of the affair. It was subdued...but added playfullness and sparkle to the table design. An outdoor cake cutting ceremony kicked off an amazing fireworks display. Guests were truly wowed and danced the night away! We wish the fun couple all the best! We really loved working with them.

Asia and Sean - A Castle Wedding With a Twist...

Sean and Asia are definitely not our average wedding planning couple. We typically have face to face meetings with our clients, join them on site visits, invite them to our office for design discussions, etc. But with this particular couple, the circumstances were anything but normal. Sean and Asia were serving our country in the military throughout the entire planning process. Needless to say, there were many obstacles. But we at PBW have such admiration and respect for the men and women protecting our country. So when the couple called us last year and asked us if were up for the challenge, we were honored and ready for it! After a year of many Yahoo chats and Skype calls, we were able execute a flawless event for our clients and give them the wedding of their dreams. The wedding was held at the beautiful Castle on Hudson in Tarrytown, NY. Guests flew in from all over the country to attend. It was simply a perfect day.

Sean and Asia may serve our country...but it was OUR pleasure serving them...and giving them a party they'll remember forever was our way of saying "thanks" for all they do for us.

Asia and Sean...thank you for the amazing experience. We wish you much love and safety as you venture back overseas.

We've been so busy doing sample meetings over the past few weeks. I thought I'd share one of my faves...it's a very romantic garden-esqe inspired design that's going to look absolutely beautiful in the ballroom at the Meadowwood Manor. We layered a gorgeous floral motif plate with a gold rimmed charger. Then we dressed up a simple satin napkin with a spring inspired ribbon and an antique looking brooch. We're so excited for the big day...which is coming up later this month. With florals by Touch of Elegance and rentals by Party Rental Ltd, the design is sure to impress guests!

A Bridal Shower That Rocked!

It's not very often a client tells us "just make it fabulous...and WOW my daughter!" That's exactly what the Mother of our July 2011 bride Samantha told us when she hired us to design her daughter's bridal shower. If you knew Samantha, you'd know she's beyond cool and deserving of a bridal shower unlike any other! We decided to make it a "rocker chick" theme, incorporating black, silver and deep purples. And as you can see from the pics, it was quite cool! Special thanks to A Touch of Elegance for the amazing centerpieces, Table Wraps for the funky linens, Jar of Ideas for the rocker inspired stationery, and Il Tulipano for hosting the fun event. We're so excited to wrap up the design for Samantha's July wedding at the Venetian...we'll be sure to post those pics too!

This past weekend was a busy one for PBW. We're most excited however to share the details of Michelle and Steve's wedding! We've been working with this great couple for well over a year. And on Sunday the couple exchanged vows at St. Patrick's in Chatham and then celebrated at the gorgeous Liberty House in Jersey City. Below are some images taken by the always impressive Josh Lynn. Not your typical baby shower!

Babies, babies and more babies! While the name may fool you...Pampered Bride Weddings does alot more than just weddings these days!

The only event we love more than a wedding is a fabulous baby shower! Our very own Melissa, along with the creations by Lisa at Touch of Elegance, designed a very unique baby shower for one of our most favorite clients! PBW had the honor of planning Vanessa and Patrick's gorgeous Venetian wedding last year. When we found out she was expecting her first baby, we just knew the baby shower would have to be beyond fabulous!!! Forget everything you've heard about pink pacifiers, onesies and nursery rhymes...this shower ended all stereotypes!

We're so sorry for the delay in between blogs lately. It's not that we haven't been busy...it's quite the opposite actually! PBW has been hard at work building new relationships with venues, signing new clients and of course...collaborating on wedding related events! First and foremost...we're so proud to announce our new relationship with the Palace at Somerset Park. PBW has been named one of their preferred event planning vendors. We absolutely adore working at this amazing venue...so we're obviously so excited for the new clients we will be working with in the near future!

More fabulous news! Last weekend marked the 2nd annual Wedding Party! The turnout was fabulous and we could not have asked for a more swanky and posh bridal event. Lisa and her team at A Touch of Elegance designed an event that was simply breathtaking! Just check out some of her table designs below. Special thanks to all the vendors who participated. You guys rocked!!! And a huge congratulations to all the brides who won the amazing tricky tray prizes. Here's a picture of the myself and a bride who won a $500 gift certificate with PBW. We can't wait to help her with her August wedding. Oh....Did I mention one bride won a 20k wedding from Meadowwood Manor??? Wow!

New Year's Eve...Sally and Harold's Big Night!

PBW was honored to be a part of this very special celebration....on the biggest party night of the year, it was hard not to be in wonderful spirits!

Sally and Harold sought out PBW to take the reigns and plan away...with a little over 40 days before the big day, Melissa had LOTS to arrange and orchestrate! Floral design, entertainment....many a vendor to find...as well as acquisition of rentals to bring the sleek and "romantically sexy" vibe together that the bride and groom were wanting to set for their guests...did Melissa flinch? Not a chance! With the A list team of vendors we brought together for our couple...the only thing Sally and Harold had to do was say "I do..." (and "Happy New Year")!

Our couple chose the intimate Liberty Room of the uber fabulous Liberty House in Jersey City to hold both the ceremony and reception. With the city skyline lights in the background (on a beautifully clear evening--SCORE!), our couple exhanged vows in a ceremony filled with their individual traditions...a Japanese tea ceremony to represent Sally's culture and ending their ceremony with the jumping of the broom for Harold's family.

A swanky lounge greeted the guests for cocktail hour (and later turned into Party Central!) while we transformed the ceremony space from Romantic to Sleek and Sexy....uplights and lots of candles made the room truly glow...the perfect setting for the dinner reception.

Our couple was smiling from ear to ear when catching their first glimse of the room...exactly what they envisioned...now it was time to Party! And that is exactly what they did...along with every single one their 85 guests....dancing and good times galore...we couldn't have asked for a better evening for them!

Historic Town meets NYC Style: Katie & Matt

On December 18th, PBW made a beautiful discovery as we assisted Katie on her big day...The Sleep Hollow Country Club in Tarrytown. An amazing site to drive up to, this stunning venue was the perfect setting for Katie and Matt's blissful day.

Katie sought the assistance of Adhari this past summer and needed all the fun details to be brought together. Katie is one of the producer's for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in NYC...so we knew right away how focused and timely our bride was...Adhari was the perfect match!

The ceremony took place at the Historic Old Dutch Reform Church of Sleepy Hollow. Incredibly romantic...candlelight and the fresh aroma Christmas trees filled the air....so beautiful! A sophisticated and classy design with beautiful red uplighting filled the Country Club and set the most festive of moods for the couple and their guests. And to top off the evening..fireworks! A fabulous surprise for our bride!

Winter Magic at the Venetian: Lauren and Brian's Big Day

It was such a pleasure working with this wonderful couple!

Lauren came to Melissa with a few months to spare, needing assistance in bringing her design elements and special touches together for her white and silver (with bling, of course!) winter wedding December 4th. They hit the ground running (without even meeting in person until weeks later!)...securing fabulous linens, chargers, a custom runner, beautiful silver chameleon chairs, and revamped the couple's design concept with a new floral designer (the amazing Lisa and staff at A Touch of Elegance!). Lauren was amazingly laid-back and loved all the options we set before her...a total breath of fresh air!

The day was seamless...without a snag in any detail of the whole day...a rarity in weddings (most planners and vendors will tell you this!), especially with a bridal party of 24! Lauren was a vision in her couture Kenneth Pool gown..bridemaids were gorgeous (all 12 of them!)...and Brian was uber dapper along with his groomsmen.

The Venetian Palazzo Ballroom was simply stunning ...people were almost afraid to walk in the room (and we loooove that!). Three gorgeous centerpiece designs from A Touch of Elegance set the sophisticated and opulent atomosphere our couple was looking for!

Greetings and happy holidays! My apologies to our readers...I've been a very bad blogger. This December was one of our busiest and we simply couldn't find time to update our blog. Our new year's resolution will undoubtedly be to blog more!

We had so many great weddings and events in December. Congratulations to our December brides: Laura, Lauren and Katie. And for the first time in years PBW has a New Year's Eve bride. Very exciting!

Wish Upon a Wedding - NJ's Launch Party

It's that time of year again...parties, celebrations, and lots of holiday cheer. It's also a time to reflect and be thankful for all the generous gifts we receive.

I must thank all the vendors who have reached out over the past several months offering to donate services to Wish Upon a Wedding brides/couples. Words simply cannot describe how grateful the entire board is for your generosity! It is with great pleasure that I'm finally able to congratulate PBW clients Elyssa and Tom on their wedding! We have been working with this sweet couple for two whole years! I have enjoyed every single minute of it...and as usual, it was bitter sweet to see all our hard work come to fruition this past Saturday night. This Delaware couple came to us for help planning their entire wedding. We booked all their major vendors and then started the design process. We ultimately decided on a color palette of light green and deep purple with gold accents. By incorporating Tuscan style seating, lush linens, unique floral arrangements and couture stationery, we were able to deliver to our couple the wedding of their dreams! It was a fabulous and flawless evening! And I MUST give a huge shout out to my right hand girl Melissa for all her hard work that nightA special thanks to everyone who helped make the event so spectacular!

Though 2012 seems so far way...it will be here before you know it!

The newest couple to join the PBW family, Shannon and Aaron will be kicking off 2012 with a sophisticated and uber stylish winter wedding at the Addison Park in central NJ. With design concepts and color palattes swirling in her head, Melissa is too excited to get the party started with this adorable couple!

The couple snatched up the talented Josh Lynn right away and got moving with a late October engagement shoot in Spring Lake..the location of their January nuptuals. We love all the shots, Josh!

Looking forward to lots of fun in the coming months, Shannon and Aaron..it's going to be a blast!

Classic Elegance, with a twist: Lindsey and Jonathan

We are so excited to share some wonderful images of PBW couple Lindsey and Jonathan's October 16th wedding! Shout out to Chris and Suzanne at CLB Photography for the fantastic shots!

Melissa began working with this special couple early in 2009...the wedding day seemed so far away, but they went ahead and hit the ground running, securing all the fabulous vendors to set the day up for success! Lindsey and Jonathan wanted to celebrate in style...keeping with the traditions of classic elegance, BUT were looking something other than the "cookie cutter" image of the term.

Over the coming months, Melissa worked with the couple to create a classy, yet modern palatte of pewter and black, with touches of deep pinks, merlots and greens. The gorgeous floral design by A Touch of Elegance was brought together with lighting and rentals that included beautiful pintuck linens from Table Wraps and black chiavari reception chairs by Party Rental Ltd.

The backdrop to this event was the ballroom of the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit...and we have to say, it was an amazing transformation that made all of Lindsey and Jonathan's guests say "WOW!" . 21 months of working together made this day bittersweet for Melissa...but it was all worth it the moment our couple saw their room for the first time!

It was a truly memorable celebration and we thank Lindsey, Jonathan, and their adorable daughter Abigail for allowing us to take this wonderful journey with them!

Lord and Taylor of Westfield - Shopping For a Cause

On Wednesday I had the honor and privilege of taking part in Lord and Taylor of Westfield's semi-annual charity shopping event. They asked me to design a holiday table using some of their gift department's gorgeous holiday decorating items. I really enjoyed coming up with a festive and unique table design and then talking to customers about how they can set the perfect table for their holiday entertaining. The best part...everyone who attended that day (and there were thousands!!!) bought tickets and the proceeds benefited dozens of local charities. Thanks to so many generous friends and family, I was able to raise hundreds of dollars for the NJ Chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding. I'm so grateful for everyone who came out to support my charity! I'm also very thankful to Patty at Something Different Party Rental for the beautiful linens and place settings and Lisa from A Touch of Elegance for donating the beautiful florals. I'm excited to take part in the next event this coming spring! Hope to see you all there again.

Kelly came to PBW last year asking for help in designing a chic, modern and colorful wedding. We decided on a unique color palette of midnight blue and lime green. By incorporating mirrors, crystals, custom stationery and shimmer linens, we achieved a stunning look that really wowed the client...Check out the reveal pic below...I never get tired of seeing their expressions when they walk into their ballroom for the first time!!! I absolutey loved working with Kelly and Tom and wish them nothing but the best!!!!

Swanky in September: Dina and Matt

We are so excited to congratulate Dina and Matt on their amazing wedding September 18th! The lovely couple exchanged vows and celebrated at the One and Only Westmount Country Club in West Patterson. Dina and Matt sought out our very own Adhari early in 2009 to help them bring together their vision for an elegant and swanky design that was truly unique.

The ceremony was incredibly romantic and definitely impressed each and every guest. A string quartet version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" played for the parent's procession...it was an amazing display of their personalities and deeply touched all of their guests.

The design was centered around many many "hot lady" roses shaped into spheres with black feathers and lots of bling! The entire day exceeded our couple's expectations and we are thrilled to have been a part of it!

1. I have an unhealthy obsession with designer sunglasses..and handbags..and shoes.

3. Since having my son, I've become incredibly sensitive during mother/son dances at weddings. I sobbed at my first wedding back from maternity leave..no joke.
4. My birthday is on St. Patrick's Day...I'm 100% Puerto Rican..people find this really amusing.
5. I don't drink coffee-never got into it..though I occasionally grab a frapuccino type drink because it's frosty. :)
6. I loved being pregnant..it was such an amazing experience!
7. I could live on the Baked Brie from Mayfair Farms, the Mushroom Risotto from Nanina's and the Lobster Cognac from the Venetian...I dream of these treats regularly!
8. I played the trumpet in junior high...yes, the trumpet.

So as you all know PBW turns 5 later this month! I've been racking my brain to come up with some fun and clever ways to celebrate our birthday. Yes, of course we will have a party. And yes, we will definitely offer some amazing specials on our services. But I also wanted to do something extra unique to honor my fabulous team of wedding divas. Over the years, PBW has employed some uber talented designers, coordinators and office professionals. What I'm most proud of is how so many ladies have stayed with me for so long! I'm truly blessed to have such an awesome group of girls behind me, helping me make PBW successful. So...what better way to show my gratitude than to share with you, our readers, some really interesting stuff about each team member. Over the next few days I'll be doing blogs about my PBW ladies. I've asked them to give me 10 interesting facts about themselves that even I (as their boss and friend) did not know. The details are coming in every day and I'm loving what I'm learning! So let's get started!!!

Ten things you should know about Monique Morales! (as written by Monique herself!)

1. I love the cartoon Phineas and Ferb and often find myself actually laughing out loud to it.
2. I went from living in Newark, DE to Newark, NJ (college).
3. I eat peanut butter by the spoonful.
4. I love being asked if I got a manicure after doing my nails myself.
5. I have an uncontrollable obsession with cupcakes and cookies.
6. I love intense action war movies. Horror flicks scare me, yet I can't seem to get enough of Ghost Hunters or any reality ghost story related program.

PBW was honored to work with Deb & Wendy on their July 17th wedding. Aimee was on hand to help the nervous brides enjoy their day, and to ensure everything went flawlessly.

The brides were surrounded by family and friends; many of whom remarked that their ceremony was one of the most beautiful and touching they had ever seen. After their ceremony in Glen Rock, NJ, the wedding headed over to Seasons Caterers in Washington Twp, NJ to continue the celebration.

The beautiful, warm and sunny weather was perfect for their afternoon wedding!

Being huge facebook fans, the brides (with Aimee's help!) changed their status to "married" as they were enjoying the reception. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lavish four-course meal and danced the afternoon away.

It's hard to believe, but Pampered Bride Weddings will be celebrating its 5th anniversary later this month. Where have the years gone??? I was reflecting the other day (as I attempted to organize old file boxes) and so many amazing memories came flooding back. We've planned and coordinated hundreds and hundreds of events and worked with so many beautiful brides. I'm so proud of what we've done over these past five years and have so many people to thank. The brides, the vendors, my hardworking team!!! I have such gratitude for everyone who helped make PBW a success.

Last night we had a girls night out and headed over to The Pink Comb Salon in Nutley for a perfectly pink party in honor of the salon's 2nd anniversary! I've known and worked with Michelle for over five years now. I am so proud of her success and am honored to call her not only a reliable vendor, but a close friend too! New Episode of WWIIA Aired!

On Saturday my newest episode of Whose Wedding is it Anyway? aired! I shared the screen with L.A. based planner Kevin Covey and we battled it out in a bride vs. groom format. Even with all the competitions, the bride and groom did ultimately have a fabulous wedding and were very happy in the end. I heard the show was hysterical (I haven't actually watched it yet...but hope to very soon! I did hear that I was...um...much...how shall we say??? PLUMPER when we filmed...so I'm hesitant to even watch it! LOL.) I received some great feedback/emails and wanted to thank everyone for watching! Summer Sophistication: Melissa and Kevin

Eighteen months of planning came together in perfect PBW fashion as our beautiful couple, Melissa and Kevin, became husband and wife on July 9th. Melissa met with the couple in early January of 2009...the color palatte was set and we loved it...Navy and butter yellow...a wonderful combo for summer! We worked with them to acquire a wonderful team of vendors to ensure their day was seamless.

The nuptual mass took place at the gorgeous Church of the Immaculate Conception in Montclair. Melissa was a vision in her Pronovias gown...hair and makeup was perfect, thanks to Rosalie from Pink Comb Salon and the ever talented Evelyn Abanto. After exchanging vows, our beaming couple headed to the lovely grounds of Lambert Castle in Clifton for pictures with family and bridal party.

The beautiful ballroom of the Valley Regency in Clifton was the setting for what was to be a fantastic celebration for the new Mr. and Mrs. Melissa and the couple worked with the always fun Laurie of Laurelwood Design to bring in the fun pops of yellow in our design...with a touch of bling, of course! A combination of tall and low centers brought dimension to the room...and looked fabulous against the navy pintuck linens we brought in from our friends at Table Wraps! Topped off with fabulous blue lighting...guests were definitely WOW-ed!

There were wonderful special touches to this wedding. Our bride was amazingly hands on with DIY projects and crafted her invitations, programs, seating cards, table numbers and menus herself...we were so impressed with her creations as it really added a personal touch to the event!

Special thanks to Melissa and Monique for rocking it on wedding day and ensuring everything ran smoothly! Another big thanks to Danny and Staff at the Valley Regency..always a pleasure! To Jorge and Pete from Magic Moments that kept the dance floor packed--you rocked it out! And to the following team of vendors that made this day perfect...Awesome Job...as usual!

On June 26, PBW was honored to work with Lisa & Matt at their beautiful summer wedding at the Westin Jersey City. PBW girls Aimee and Monique were on hand to ensure their day was smooth, flawless and fun! The sun was shining and the breeze was blowing as the bride and groom met by the water before their ceremony.

Back inside, the short and sweet ceremony took place with the couple surrounded by gorgeous snow-white floral arrangements and tons of candlelight. The beautiful decor carried seamlessly into the reception. Once inside the beautiful and spacious ballroom at the Westin, guests appreciated the tall centerpieces overflowing in white florals, dim lighting, and romantic candlelight. Our couple was immediately surrounded by friends and family, and the party began. The dance floor was packed all night!

Of course many, many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Westin Jersey City (Elizabeth & Eddie) for running a smooth operation and making us feel right at home!

Not Your Ordinary 4th of July

On Sunday, July 4th, there were fireworks like never before. Our clients Khadeen & Devale were married at Terrace on the Park in Corona, NY. The bride and groom had been working with Adhari for months to create an elegant unique affair with all the trimmings.

The wedding was 'uberfabulous' with a powerful color pallette of black, white, yellow, and red! Their South Beach inspired ceremony with whites and touches of yellow was followed by a bold reception of tall centerpieces of deep red blooms accented with red lighting, burgundy linens, and black napkin treatments adorned with feathers. Lisa Plociniak and her team from A Touch of Elegance truly outdid themselves with the reception decor.

The entire bridal party did a pre-ceremony photo shoot (a trend becoming quite popular in the wedding industry) where a vintage couch served as a prop amidst the greenery of Flushing Meadow Park. How incredibly HOT does this bridal party look? This couple wanted to ensure each guest was on the dance floor all night and had an experience of a lifetime. Around 9:30pm guests were able to view 3 sets of fireworks overlooking the New York City skyline including the renowned Macy's Firework Spectacular.

Congratulations Khadeen & Devale! We wish you both all the happiness in the world. Thank you for treating us like family and allowing us to make your event spectacular.

Mandaps and Baraats and Bling, Oh My! Aditi and Mick get Married!

Congratulations to Aditi and Mick...a wonderfully fun couple that reached out PBW to help organize and coordinate their wedding day on July 3rd. Melissa took the reigns for the day, with Monique and intern Alicia assisting (thanks ladies, you were terrific!)

It was a great day...starting off early with a fantastic Baraat procession for our groom Mick..complete with a beautiful white horse to carry him into the plaza of the Hyatt in Morristown, NJ. Watching from her suite, our bride Aditi was getting adorned from head to toe in a gorgeous red jeweled sari...breathtaking!

Elegant Affairs in Fairfield provided the absolutely gorgeous Mandap...six pillars, with orange, rust and red fabric draped throughout. Aditi was emotional for her walk to her groom...we love that!

After the ceremony and lunch...the bride and groom took time to totally change their attire and got ready for a colorful celebration! Their reception room was a modern take on the traditional Indian reception...beautiful linens, chic low centerpieces and a stage area with a couch and hookahs!

Thanks to Ashley Cozza and the staff at Hyatt Morristown...great teamwork..you guys were so great!

Melissa, Monique and Alicia had a wonderful time with Aditi and Mick and their wonderful family...thank you for making us feel so welcome...it was a great time! Cheers to you both...enjoy your honeymoon in Maui!

Ashley and Anthony - All You Need Is Love

On Saturday June 26, our uber "juicy" clients Ashley and Anthony exchanged vows and celebrated in style at the gorgeous Palace at Somerset Park. The day was bitter sweet. We had been working with the fun and outgoing couple for over two years. We were so excited for the big day...but naturally it was sad to see it all end! :(

The design was all about tropical elegance...with breathtaking accents like palm trees, live fish, bright colors and bamboo accents. Another important design detail was our kissing parrots! This was such a fun and whimsical detail that we used on our custom wedding cake, aisle runner, and stationery.

We also incorporated the music of the Beatles (the couple's favorite) into the design. Tables were named after Beatles' songs and the ceremony music included live musicians and singers chanting popular Beatles' ballads. It was just so unique and memorable.

Guests were blown away by the beautiful centerpieces, lush linens, dramatic room lighting and amazing entertainment.

Beachy Chic: Carissa and Jason's Special Celebration

On April 20th, PBW couple Carissa and Jason exchanged vows privately in a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the breathtaking beaches of Hawaii. Carissa came to Melissa months ago wanting to celebrate their union with a small gathering of friends and family once they returned.

The venue was perfect...McCloones's Pier House in Long Branch...the perfect spot to revive the memories of the beach ceremony and share their joy with their loved ones.

On June 12th, Carissa and Jason welcomed 65 of their nearest and dearest to a beachside luncheon that exuded "beachy chic"...with a sleek lounge overlooking the ocean and lovely light draping to elegantly divide cocktail hour from their private dining space. Thanks so much to Adam and staff at Jersey Street Furniture for providing the goodies to create the look!

PBW Conquers Delaware!

This past weekend marked our first wedding EVER in the lovely state of Delaware! Erika and I ventured to the Dover area for a few days and we had a blast!

Alexis and Josh (both are Wesley College Alum and the groom is currently the campus football coach) hired us last year to help them design and coordinate their campus wedding. The challenge: turn a cafeteria into an elegant space for a wedding. I just got a glimpse of the professional pics...and I have to say...that room looked nothing like a college dining hall! We used a striking color palette of black, white and hot pink. With simple yet elegant floral arrangements, a touch of damask pattern, pipe and drape and pink uplighting, the room wowed guests and most importantly, pleased our clients!!!

A Bright and Tropical Sample Meeting!

I simply love working on design samples for clients. These meetings are a planner's opportunity to showcase their work AND potentially make their client extremely excited and confident in their planner's ability! I'm happy to say that yesterday's floral sample for PBW clients Ashley and Anthony went off without a hitch. While I can't divulge the true theme of this wedding, I can share the colors and overall design scheme we are going for. As you can see from the pics, we are incorporating bright summer colors (hot pinks, bright greens, vibrant oranges) to achieve an elegant tropical design. Lisa from A Touch of Elegance designed towering and breathtaking palm tree centerpieces filled with lush florals. The place settings will be layered and texture (A MUST IN MY OPINION!) will be used throughout! There is an entirely separate "theme" that's oh so secretive...so you'll just have to wait until late June to find out!

There really wasn't anything that could have made yesterday's design reveal more fabulous! I take that back...we could've held the meeting on a tropical beach!!!

We're so excited to announce that we will once again be coordinating another stylish event for their upcoming September party! I'm happy to share that this year's soiree will be held at the lavish Palace at Somerset Park. We simply adore working at the Palace and can't wait to start planning!

A Memorial Day Weekend Wedding Celebration

This past weekend we saw clients Robin and Tim get married on the beautiful grounds of Rutgers Gardens. The bride chose a spring color palette of bright blues and yellows with a rustic elegance vibe. We also incorporated horseshoe elements to celebrate the bride's love of horses! Special thanks to all the great vendors who helped make the day a success! Calligraphy at its Finest

I love discovering new talent! There are so many outstanding wedding vendors out there...but sometimes you meet one who truly LOVES their job!

I recently met a talented calligraphy artist, Jennifer Gillespie, owner of www.calligraphybyjennifer.net.

What I love about Jennifer is that she is obsessed (in a good way!) with all things wedding related. She has a passion for calligraphy, but she also stays on top of current wedding trends and styles. She blogs, tweets, Facebooks...you name it! She has ideas and loves sharing them with the wedding community. I admire her tenacity and her ability to promote not only her own work, but the work of other wedding design professionals. Simply put: she's a fabulous vendor...one with whom I soon plan to work.

You really should check out her website (http://www.calligraphybyjennifer.net) She offers such a wide array of calligraphy styles to her clients. I've always loved the look of fine calligraphy...and Jennifer definitely delivers! Although she is located in Kentucky, she services the entire nation. Be sure to look her up when it's time for you to address your invitations, make place cards, table signs, etc.

I recently received an email from an uber talented dress designer/sketch artist named Heather Miller. She creates custom bridal gown illustrations for current or former brides. The sketches make great anniversary gifts, wedding gifts, etc. Just a fresh and fun twist on the wedding gown sketch idea! I checked out her Etsy page (www.etsy.com/shop/gownsketch) and loved her work.

New Blog Directions! So Exciting!!!!

As you all know, we have been using our blog as a way to keep you updated on weddings, events, press, etc. I've been toying with some new blog ideas and basically, due to lack of time, they've all been put on the back burner. But I'm so pleased to announce that I'm finally able to take the blog in a new direction! We will still publish our event related announcements and all that fun wedding stuff you love, but I'm also going to start...for lack of a better description...an advice section. Over the years, I have received countless emails from brides and grooms and mothers of the bride asking me for advice on specific wedding related issues they're facing. I wish I had the time to respond to them all, but it's just not possible. I can however, address some of the more popular questions/issues and share my responses here on our blog. By no means, do I consider myself an "expert" in event planning. I have however, been doing this for a really long time...and as a result I have learned some extremely helpful things that I'm more than happy to share with you all! I've also accumulated some insanely hysterical stories and anecdotes...but you'll have to buy my book to read those! (yes, I'm writing a book) I know what you're thinking..."another wedding planner book???" Well, don't worry, this project is also on a back burner and Lord only knows when that puppy will hit bookstores! :)

Keep an eye out, because my first advice blog will post in a few days...In the interim, I'm taking suggestions on what to title this new fabulous advice section. So please email me your ideas! Send them to jennifer@pamperedbrideweddings.com
