A PBW and Whose Wedding first--and it ROCKED!

As many of our friends and family were enjoying their BBQ's and fireworks on the 4th of July...Jenny and crew made PBW history, as they took on their first same-sex wedding!

We were thrilled to be a part of Yezenia and Regina's special day in West Orange as it was a full out celebration with our favorite touches of "wow"...lighting, couture favors, and fabulous centerpieces, just to name a few! And to top it all off, it was picked up for an episode for the new season of "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?"!! This episode will also be a first for the show, in that it's the first time they will highlight a lesbian couple exchanging vows...how awesome is that?!

Both the ceremony and reception were beautiful...and so emotional! Jenny, Melissa and Adhari couldn't stop their tears...it was wonderful to see and feel so much love and have the honor of taking part in this milestone in their relationship. It was quite a PARTY..we couldn't stop dancing! Everything was just fabulous and we want to thank the staff at Mayfair Farms for being so accomodating...as well as Bob at Visions Lighting, Rob Adams with Rob Adams Productions for video, Colorblind Productions for music, and Nadia at Timeless Sweets for the fab cookie favors.

Taping the show was quite an adventure..but it was a great time! Our producer, Patrick, was wonderful (and patient!) and we had a ball with him and the filming crew--thanks for all the fun and laughs! We can't wait to see the final product!! Here is a pic of Jenny, Melissa and Adhari with some of the crew from that day.

The new season of "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" will begin this fall...we will send you all an update as to when it will air!!

Thank You Yezenia and Regina for allowing us to be a part of your dream wedding..we had a fabulous time and wish you all the happiness in the world!

We hope you all are enjoying your summer! Thanks for tuning into our updates and featured weddings...we like this blogging stuff!

It was all about the CAKE: Patti and Chuck

We were so happy to receive the fun photos from Patti and Chuck's June 1st wedding in West Orange...what a fun day!

The couple wanted a very relaxed feel for the day, while still infusing traditional wedding elements that displayed their fun personalities. The beautiful ceremony took place overlooking a view of the NYC skyline at the Highlawn Pavillion at Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange. A vibrant palatte of oranges and limes were found in the pew arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces...and the CAKE.

The cake was VERY important to our bride, Patti. Patti is a pastry chef and owner of her own couture cake making company....we knew we were in for a fabulous looking treat! Patti baked for days, ensuring every detail was perfect. She even left in the middle of hair and makeup to oversee the delivery--we couldn't blame her!

Guests proceeded into the Highlawn Pavillion for the wonderful reception...incredibly fun! A salsa band and DJ combo kept all guests on their feet!

And the cake, well....it was Amazing! And tasted even better....Patti, you outdid yourself! Melissa and Adhari had the distinct pleasure of getting to taste it...and bring a chunk home for an after wedding treat! Yeah, we were a bit jealous :-)

Thanks to the fabulous Michelle Lo Conte for hair and Makeup and Paul and the staff at Highlawn Pavillion...great job guys!

Congratulations Patti and Chuck! We are totally stopping in for cake sometime soon!

Chocolate Decadence: Marni and Aaron

Jenny and the PBW girls (and their sweet tooths) were so excited to see Marni and Aaron finally take their vows in front over over 200 guests at the fabulous Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale. The theme: Chocolate!!

We kid you not...from the chocolate lollipop placecards to the table names...everyone knew they were in for a treat! The chocolate theme was intertwined with polka dots and lots of pink...giving a light modern POP to the daytime wedding-everything looked AWESOME!

Thanks to Oliver and the entire staff at Florentine--you are truly first class! Laurie and her staff at Laurelwood Designs for the decor and floral design...as usual, fabulous! Jennifer at Jar of Ideas for all the wedding stationery items--all was beautiful! Lorraine Patricia for photography...And for the awesome lollipop treats...Diane Pinder at Donna and Company--they were a hit!

We have a couple of teaser pics for you...more to come!

Asian Zen: Kelly and Mike

The PBW crew would like to extend their congratulations to Kelly and Mike on their fun-filled Asian Zen themed wedding on June 21st. Melissa, along with Adhari and Aimee were there to ensure all went perfectly. We must say, this was quite the emotional day...the ceremony was absolutely wonderful...with Kelly's children walking her down the aisle and her son providing the vows for Mike to repeat..it was wonderful to see how much love was in the church.

The reception was held at the gorgeous Sterling Ridge in Warren. Thanks so much to Rebecca for all the help and for being so gracious and accomodating! Everything about this wedding revolved around lanterns, orchids and an amazing cake (that you may have seen before--ha ha!). Kelly was inspired by one of our designs for an event and was intent on replicating the cake design. She was successful...it looked fabulous!

We wish you all the best, Kelly and Mike!

Pure Elegance at Bonnet Island: Paula and Michael

After months and months of planning every detail from place settings and linens, to hotel blocks and ceremony poems, Jenny and the PBW crew were beyond thrilled (and very misty eyed) when we watched Paula walk down the aisle to marry Michael on June 29th.

Every detail of this wedding exuded a pure serenity and class...river rocks as placecards, white orchids and calla lillies...and all by the water at the absolutely gorgeous Bonnet Island Estate in Manahawkin, New Jersey.

We are anxiously awaiting the fabulous pictures from this wedding...and will be sure to post a lot of them for all to see! Until then...a couple of shots from our crew that day will have to keep you satisfied, for now. More wonderful details from the day to follow!
We've got lots of updates...and some special news to share, so keep checking us out for all the fun!
