Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Outgoing, personable, flexible with schedule, quick thinker, ability to multi task, diplomacy, organizational skills, team player attitude, have a sense of humor!!!! If you have experience and/or knowledge of the wedding industry, that is huge plus!!!

Qualified applicants should submit their background info (resume, cover letter, pictures of any design/event work you've done) to Jennifer@pamperedbrideweddings.com

Unfortunately we can only contact qualified candidates. Thank you!!!!!

Keshia and Damen - Simply Sweet!

Sorry for the late entry...but things have been crazy this month! We did however want to make sure we mentioned one of our recent weddings! Keisha and Damon (super sweet couple!) were married last month in Montclair and had their reception at the beautiful Knoll Country Club. The bride looked stunning and the groom....well he looked simply dapper! Many thanks to all the great vendors, especially PBW's own Adhari who did a fabulous job on the bridal party's makeup! And also a big thanks to Vito at Jasmine Photo...as usual, we were impressed with your hustle and amazing work!

Best of luck to the sweet couple!

Wedding planner scams....BEWARE!

Hi All
This blog entry is really for the "planners" out there who may not be up to speed or fully aware of some of the more popular wedding planner scams sent via email these days. Below is an email I received yesterday...Mr. Naylor is in need of a planner...and he will continue to be in need of a planner....b/c I'm not falling for the craziness!

Below are some other "red flags" or popular scams that people try to play on wedding planners. I know what you're thinking..." duh...of course this is a scam!" But trust me, when a really green, new planner is trying to get business, their blinders are on, their defenses are down, and they easily fall for this crap!
Signs it's a scam
1. They want to fly from England to meet you but need your credit card to do so or need you to hold their transferred funds to do so
2. They live abroad, have 30k to 40k budget, and one of them works for Coca Cola in the U.S.
3. They just need a NJ location....and dont care where it is!
4 . They ask you about your payment, how you accept payment, how can they pay other vendors, etc.

5. You are constantly saying "what the hell is he talking about" as you read the email!!!!

My Name is Dr Dave Naylor,I am looking for an experienced wedding planner who will handle my wedding and arrange dinner for a group of people who will be attending the wedding ceremony. Seven will arrive few days before the wedding day.The wedding is expected to hold on the 18th October,2008 and 25 to 40 guests are expected to attend. you.All checks and balances will be made with you on 16th July which is the final day of the booking, You are to arrange for a Videography, MusicEntertainment, Photography, Officiant/Priest & Church, cake, flowers and hall. Brides ALWAYS Deserve Amazing Wedding Design!

Dwelling on finances can be a drag...dealing with a dwindling wedding budget is never up there on our list of favorite activities. PBW knows the economy is less than desirable. Even I, the compulsive pocketbook and shoe shopper, has scaled back my frivolous shopping habits, pulled in the reigns and showed more restraint in my favorite department stores. And now that I have a baby on the way, I'm even MORE conscious about today's economic status....I recently read that by the time my baby hits college, I will have spent close to $1,000,000 on the kid! OMG! Can we say, time to start saving???? Yikes!

We get it...money is tight for many people, especially young couples who are trying to plan a lavish and classy wedding. But a less than fabulous economy does not mean that brides should be denied high end wedding design!

To this end...PBW wants to help out our frustrated brides and grooms who don't think they can afford a reputable and experienced wedding planner. So...we are offering 10% off any service to all brides/grooms who mention this blog and book between August 15 and Oct 15 of 2008. Call today today to schedule your complimentary consultation. You deserve the wedding of your dreams! Let PBW help you create a wedding unlike any other. And don't worry, we will always make sure you (the beautiful bride) have enough money to buy those Manolo Blahnik's for your wedding day!

xoxo,
Jenny

A Perfectly Pink Soiree at the new PINK COMB SALON!

Pampered Bride Weddings was so happy to be invited to the Pink Party, which served as the Grand Opening party for the brand new Pink Comb Salon in Nutley. Melissa and Adhari represented PBW and had a wonderful time with the Pink-ness...pink champagne, pink cupcakes, and the cutest pink favors with our very own pink combs (you know we LOVED that!).

Pink Comb was a long time dream come true for the fabulous Michelle Lo Conte, our fave wedding hair guru...we were so excited to see the finished product! As expected, the place is gorgeous! Classy, chic and PINK...with an expansive menu of services from cuts and coloring...to manis/pedis and waxing....even eyelash extensions and spa parties for brides!

The party was a wonderful mix of family, friends and past brides that wanted to share in the excitement Michelle's new venture. Very cool! Our friend Josh Lynn was on hand, taking some pics and providing an awesome new photobooth for guests to "get silly" in. Melissa and Adhari were certain to test it out and get their turn in there! Go to
www.njphotobooths.com to see the fun!

We are thrilled for you Michelle...your salon is sure to be an amazing success! Thanks for allowing us to celebrate with you!
